Our monthly Skills Seminars are open to all Inside Out artists and volunteers.

This month our Chairman Matthew Morris will be presenting the first of two seminars on the topic of what we understand as ‘mental health.’

Part One – Mon 12 July : Let’s Not talk about Mental Health! Things aren’t always what you think or are told.

The session aims to discuss why talking about mental health might be unhelpful and how it often leads to real experiences of being judged and pathologised.

Part Two – date tbc: Moving Towards Person Centred, Non-coercive and Rights Based Interventions for People Experiencing Emotional Distress

Looking at examples around the world where people are helped to overcome emotional distress with; compassion, community and creativity.
